May a QDRO Require That Payments Be Made to the Guardian of an Alternate Payee?

Q. Theodore P. of Wyoming wants to know: "May a QDRO Require That Payments Be Made to the Guardian of an Alternate Payee?"

Brad, in the Pension Department, of Pension Evaluators & QDROS Of Troyan, Inc Associates Group answers: "Yes. If an alternate payee is a minor or is legally incompetent, the order can require payment to someone with legal responsibility for the alternate payee (such as a guardian or a party acting in loco parentis in the case of a child, or a trustee as agent for the alternate payee).

For assistance with this matter please email our QDRO Dept. at info@pension-evaluators.com, or reach us by phone: Toll Free: 1-800-221-0706. You can also login to our website qdrosattroyan.com or visit our Forms Download page."
